If you’re feeling “off,” struggling with yourself, your body, or fighting against a life circumstance and trying to stay in tight control, chances are you’re out of alignment.
Instead of making resolutions or setting intentions for 2024, step into alignment.
What does that mean? Alignment is about listening, embracing, and expressing your authentic self. It’s trusting the process of life – flowing, not forcing.
When you’re in alignment you experience
More ease
Greater levels of self-expression and creativity
Less turmoil and chaos
Lower levels of stress
More inspiration and motivation
A greater sense of peace, inner stability and satisfaction
A deeper sense of connection to yourself, others and the universe
Signs of misalignment may include
Feeling unsettled, restless or anxious
Stuck in a state of confusion
Feeling something is off
Experiencing a lack of fulfillment and disconnect
Feeling the need to force things or always be in control
Experiencing health challenges, mental, emotional or physical
Ignoring or numbing out your feelings
Recognizing signs of misalignment are the first steps toward regaining alignment and restoring harmony in your life.
5 Ways to Step into Alignment
1. Tune inward with curiosity
Place your hand on your heart and ask yourself, “What do I need?” Tell yourself, “I love you. I am listening.” Breathe and be willing to listen.
2. Take care of your body
If your physical body is not healthy, well-nourished and active, it won’t be able to serve you as well as it could. Be mindful to focus on eating wholesome real foods, stay away from processed foods, get good consistent sleep, and get your body moving.
3. Get in touch with your inner child
Find a photo of yourself as a little kid around 5 years old, or a time when you felt free, safe, playful and uninhibited. Looking at that photo, allow yourself to reminisce, welcoming and allowing the feelings of curiosity and possibility that you felt at that time.
4. Meditate in a way that works for you
Such as visualizations, breathwork, running, nature walking, sewing or drawing. When you meditate in ways that works for you, you quiet your thoughts, connect with yourself and open up to your inner wisdom and creativity.
5. Journal your thoughts
Where do I feel out of alignment? Why?
Where do I feel in alignment? Why?
What would it mean for me to step into alignment?
What do I need to to think to feel more trusting of myself and my path?
There is no right way or wrong way to be in alignment. Choose what feels right for you.Trust that you’re right on time and exactly where you're meant to be on your journey.
